Abandoned Pup Lands Himself A Full-Time Job In A Gas Station

A gorgeous dog who was sadly abandoned at a petrol station by his previous owners when the area was nothing but a derelict construction site has turned his life around by landing himself a job.

The dog, whose name is Negao, was found roaming around the site in a frightened state by Sabrina Plannerer and her partner when they purchased the grounds to turn it into a Shell gas station in the town of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil.

But Sabrina didn’t just give Negao a warm place to stay – she also gave him a purpose. His very own job. When the work on the site was complete and the garage finally opened, Negao became an official employee of the Shell garage.

He was even given his very own uniformed cap and a workers’ ID tag to wear. Of course, Sabrina wasn’t expecting her dog to stack shelves – in fact, she wasn’t sure how he would react to the sudden bustle of business in the place he’d been calling home, but amazingly, he has proven to be a natural at providing world class customer service.

How can a dog give good customer service, you ask? Well, Negao waits for people to arrive, goes up to greet them, and wins them over with total love and affection. Basically, he’s got fantastic charm – and customers couldn’t possibly love him anymore.

Sabrina said: ‘Customers love him. Some people even bring him toys.’
Although Sabrina and her partner have officially adopted Negao, he has chosen to reside in the station, where he’s happiest.

Though the hardworking pup does need some downtime – as he’s pretty much working two jobs at the moment after becoming a poster dog of sorts for a local initiative started by the charity group FERA, which aims to pair needy, stray dogs with businesses in the event they cannot find a stable family to live with.

We think Negao makes the perfect poster pup – and there’s no doubt he’ll be a huge inspiration to all strays seeking help from the charity.

Sabrina hopes that their story will encourage other establishments to adopt stray cats and dogs.
