Budweiser Celebrates Father’s Day by Honoring Stepdads Who ‘Stepped Up’

Cheers to all the fathers and stepfathers out there who have made a positive impact on their families’ lives! Father’s Day is almost upon us and many will be grabbing a cold brew with “Pops” and will catch up and reflect upon the years of growth, challenges and good times. This Father’s Day, Budweiser wants to specially honor stepdads who serve as real dads in their own right.

Through a touching short video, Budweiser is sharing real-life stories of stepchildren and their stepdads. These stepdads have ‘stepped it up’ more so than their stepchildren’s biological fathers. The stepchildren surprised their stepdads by with a heartfelt reflection and then asked their stepdads to make it official and legally adopt them.

“On a day when the world celebrates fathers, Budweiser wants to shine an unexpected light on fatherhood. That’s why this Father’s Day, Budweiser is toasting stepfathers who love their stepchildren like their own,” Monica Rustgi, vice president of marketing for Budweiser, told TODAY Food.

As you can imagine, the Budweiser video is a tearjerker! It doesn’t sugarcoat the fact that it wasn’t easy at first for the stepchildren to fully accept the stepdads into their lives. With time, however, they eventually accepted and learned to love them more than they ever thought possible. Grab a tissue and hug your “Dad!”
