Daddies on diaper duty are causing a ‘stink’ when it comes to needing diaper changing tables in every bathroom! It’s 2019 and dads are more hands-on, yet we’re still behind the times! According to Pampers, new research reveals that 9 out of 10 dads have used a public restroom that lacks a baby changing table.

Singer, songwriter John Legend is a hands-on dad to Luna, 3, and Miles, 1, with wife Chrissy Teigen and has experienced this void for dads. Legend has teamed up with Pampers on their Love the Change campaign, which will reportedly provide 5,000 Koala Kare changing tables for public restrooms in high-need locations across the United States and Canada by 2021.

Last year, Florida dad, Donte Palmer, first called national attention to this problem via Instagram by posting a picture of himself squatting and changing his child across his thighs on a restroom floor. “What’s the deal with not having changing tables in men’s bathrooms as if we don’t exist?” he wrote in the caption. This sparked the #squatforchange campaign to install more baby changing tables in men’s restrooms.

“Daddy diaper duty is a real thing,” Legend told TODAY Parents. “Daddies should be involved, and overall, we should be involved in the parenting responsibilities as much as we can. It’s time for society to say it’s time to change this kind of thing. We don’t want to just talk about it, we want to do some building.”
