Little Girl Gets The Best Surprise When Thieves Unexpectedly Return Her Stolen Puppy
Eight-week-old yellow Labrador, Sasha was stolen from the Hood family’s home in Croydon Hills, Melbourne, Australia, along with a number of items including a laptop, iPads, passports, and jewelry.
Four-year-old Maia, was left heartbroken after she realized her best friend Sasha had been taken away from her.
In an attempt to find the puppy, the Victoria police commissioner, Graham Ashton, and Maia’s father, Ryan Hood, directly addressed the thieves in a Facebook video.

A few hours after the emotional appeal was published to Facebook, Maia got the best surprise of her life. Little Sasha was returned to the family’s backyard overnight.
It was a great start to the day for this Croydon Hills family when they were reunited with their puppy after it was stolen in a burglary on Monday morning.Labrador Sasha, was overwhelmed with love and play time when he was finally united with his four-year-old owner. None of the other items have been returned and the thieves are still unknown, but the family is happy to have the most important back: Maia’s best friend, Sasha!
“We like to think that whoever took her grew a conscience, but possibly they were spooked by all the media attention,” Hood told Australian publication Tenplay. “Either way, we are just happy to have her back.”
