Sandra Bullock Shares Her Millions with Those in Need, Making Us Love Her Even More!

Actress Sandra Bullock may be rich and famous, but what she is not is stingy. Behind the scenes, the “Ocean’s 8” “Bird Box” and “Miss Congeniality” star has been donating $1 million every time there’s a disaster. While this doesn’t come as a total shock because she’s beloved in Hollywood and beyond, it makes Hollywood more human.

When the life-altering California wildfires swept in, so did Bullock with her checkbook. She reportedly donated a total of $500,000 to Red Cross during the California wildfires to aid with local wildlife relief. However, PEOPLE points out that in addition to her $100,000 donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County, California, she added $400,000 to the American Red Cross.

Bullock also addressed how vital philanthropy is while commenting on the tragedy, saying “The untold destruction from these fires is heartbreaking, especially following the tragedy at borderline in Thousand Oaks. I’m glad to be able to help. We’re all family in this, whether it be human, furry or feathered.” Well, needless to say, the trio – “human, furry and feathered” appreciate her efforts!

While those efforts and her genuine concern may have somewhat been under the radar, they haven’t gone unnoticed. Bullock has also reportedly helped build clinics, donated $1 million towards 9/11 disaster relief, helped victims of earthquakes in the Indian ocean that caused a series of tsunamis as well as Category 5 Hurricane Katrina. She’s simply a talented and beautiful humanitarian!
