Most parent-children relationships experience a stage where the children are adults and the parents are “old fashioned” and know nothing about the world anymore. Hence, this mother chose to write a letter for her daughter and explain all the processes and stages of old age. Looking after your ageing parents is very much the same as carrying for a young child and requires just as much care, patience, respect and understanding. Her words are so true and touching I have decided to make a note of it and remind myself of how to treat my parents as well as pass the wisdom to my children when the time is right.
