78-Year-Old Veteran Finds Out That The Woman He Meet In Vietnam War Keep A Huge Secret From Him For 50 Years

Gary Barnes, 78, is a  U.S. military veteran, who served in the Vietnam war. During the war, like many other soldiers, he found comfort in the Philippines, where he met a woman, but he never thought that their short romantic relationship, would one day change his life.

To his surprise, 50 years later, he received a phone call from another woman, who claimed that after using ancestory.com, she believes he could be her father. 50-year-old Olivia Robles asked Barnes if he would agree to a DNA test and luckily he was up for it. The life-changing results confirmed their connection.

As per reports, he said: “I am overjoyed. I just absolutely feel like this is a part of my life I’ve never had.”

“This is truly a miracle. You know, I’ve been on this quest for so many years; since I was ten-years-old. And here we find each other at 50 and 78, so it’s a miracle,” she said.

The two arranged their first meeting and Barnes, made sure to record the incredible moment. Their reunion was touching and filled with happy emotions.
