Best Surprise Father Daughter Wedding Dance To Epic Song Mashup

There are moments we all look forward to at weddings, seeing the bride walk down the aisle, the couples vows, the first dance and of course, the time old tradition of the father-daughter dance, which never fails to bring a tear to everyone’s eye.

But Utah bride Mikayla Phillips and her dad, Nathan Ellison, decided to change things up and surprise all 400 guests at her wedding with what we think is one of the most epic father-daughter dances we’ve ever seen — a mash up of not one, not two but 10 different songs, which were meaningful to both of them. The cherry on top? The groom, Cody, was mixing the music for them.

The dance started off traditionally with “Butterfly Kisses,” but quickly elevated as M.C. Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This” started to play, that’s when the bride and her father threw on some shades and started pulling out the real dance moves. The dance included LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” The Sugarhill Gang’s ” Jump on It!” and more before ending with *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye,” and the crowd’s thunderous applause.

Phillips is a trained dancer but her father works in sales and technology — nevertheless, the bride is Ellison’s only daughter and they wanted to do something special for their dance. “Every night [in the week] prior to the wedding we’d run through it a few times,” Phillips told ABC News. “I think since we’d talked about it for years that it was pretty easy for it to come together.” The duo only spent that one week preparing for the whole dance altogether. Needless to say, we’re impressed!

And while the dance may be the part of the wedding everyone’s talking about, the bride told ABC News that “the actual best part of that day was marrying my best friend.”
