Before Boy’s Brain Surgery He and his Grandpa Show Off Fancy Footwork in the Frozen Food Section!

Dancing soothes the soul and Kyu San Juan, an adorable 5-year-old boy from Wisconsin couldn’t agree more. Kyu, who loves to boogie didn’t want to let the fact that he was scheduled for brain surgery in a few hours to get him down. So, he had one pre-surgery request – to have a dance party at the grocery store with his beloved Grandpa.
So, Kyu’s mom, Rasami, told Kyu and his Grandpa, who flew in from out of town to be with him, to hop in the car. In a Facebook post, Rasami explained how the dance party unfolded at Festival Foods.
“Grandpa: Do you guys need to buy something?
Kyu: No grandpa, we dance here in the groceries store.
Grandpa: Here? People are going to think we’re crazy!
Kyu: People? What people?
Grandpa: I thought we were going to a party or a club.
Kyu: Grandpa, Use your imagination. You can dance anywhere!”
That’s all that Grandpa needed to boogie down with his little grandson! The dynamic dancing duo then showed off their fancy footwork in the frozen food section! You can tell that they had a blast letting loose by the frozen peas and ice cream!
Kyu was reportedly born with cerebral arteriovenous malformation, which causes an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins in the brain. In 2017, he suffered a seizure that left him debilitated. Then in June 2019, he was scheduled to undergo his second brain surgery. According to Rasami, Kyu’s brain surgery went “better than doctors had anticipated.” We’re rooting for the tiny dancer to get back to his stage – the frozen food aisle of course!
