A responsible young boy was just trying to do the right thing after he happened to run into something that police were in search of. He and his dad were at the gas station going about their own business but what the boy found minutes later changed the whole course of their day. Seven-year-old Griffin Steele had just opened his Gatorade bottle when he walked to the trashcan to deposit his garbage. At that very moment, something of value caught his eye.

A twenty dollar bill was right there in sight, but it was unlike any he had seen before. It was covered in red dye, which alarmed him immediately. Griffin did not hesitate for a single moment to bring it to his dad to show him what he had found. His dad also thought it was odd, yet that was only the beginning of Griffin’s finds. After depositing his trash, Griffin realized that the trash can was completely full of money. The story behind the trash can full of cash would shortly be revealed, but until then Griffin and his dad had to call the police.
