Celine Tam Earns Highest Honor After Stunning Performance

Celine Tam is proof that just because someone is young doesn’t mean they can’t have a skill that leaves everyone in awe! This 9-year-old songstress (aptly named after Celine Dion) has wowed judges on America’s Got Talent on this season so far, but nothing compares to her rendition of “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” by Michael Bolton.

Dressed in a ruffly gold dress, the little girl looked every bit her age, that is, until she opened her mouth and began singing. That’s when her God-given talent poured fourth.

Not long into her performance, longtime America’s Got Talent judge and music industry mogul Simon Cowell began smiling and nodding as he listened to Celine. Her incredible voice, full of strength and vibrato, brought smiles to all of the judges’ faces.

The second Celine wrapped up her performance, the judges started gushing about her vocal skill and lovely stage presence! Special guest judge Laverne Cox from Orange Is the New Black was totally shocked by the fact such a powerful voice could come from a tiny little girl!

Excitedly, she said, “I just want to take you home and eat you up!” Laverne couldn’t stop complimenting the adorable pint-sized vocalist.

“You’re so adorable and so cute – and your voice is amazing! You’re so talented! I’m really blown away.”

It was at that moment Simon sensed Laverne was going to do something that would change Celine’s life forever! Sure enough, Laverne reached over the judge’s stand and pressed her hand on the Golden Buzzer!

Celine was shocked by all of the gold confetti floating weightlessly through the air! This is a memory she’s going to cherish forever!
