We’ve all had those days where everything goes wrong and it seems like the world is against us. Recently, a University of Wisconsin-Stout student was having one of those days. Student Trevor Keeney was late for a formal class presentation and couldn’t figure out how to tie his necktie. And as if he wasn’t already having a bad start to his day, he ended up getting pulled over for speeding on his way to class.

Just minutes before his class was supposed to start, Keeney was rushing to class and got pulled over by Officer Martin Folczyk as he pulled into the school’s parking lot. He immediately explained that he had been speeding because he was late for a class and was trying to find a friend who knew how to tie neckties since he had no idea how to.

Before even asking for the frazzled young man’s license or registration, the cop asks for his tie and begins loosely tieing it so he could slip it over his head. The amazing cop then helped him adjust it so, which took a couple tries, and then sent him off to class with just a warning.

Keeney managed to make it to class jut a few minutes late and thanks to Officer Folczyk’s help, he managed to get a 92 out of 100 on his presentation. “I went back and met with him for about 30 minutes and he taught me! It was cool,” Keeney said.
