Dad Gets The Makeover Of A Lifetime

When life gets hectic, it’s hard to make sure your looks remain a priority. Such was the case of Mike Weiss, 45, when his wife Rebecca was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The devoted husband and father of two made sure that his wife’s well being was always at the forefront of his mind. So during her care, Mike paid no mind to his outer appearance.

That’s why he was a top candidate for the Today Show’s hit beauty segment “Ambush Makeover.” During Rebecca’s treatment, Mike was the rock that kept the family together.

During an interview with one of the Today Show’s contributors, Mike’s children revealed that he was the one who drove them to school, picked them up, prepared meals and made sure Rebecca was at all of her medical appointments.

One moment they were a happy, healthy family. The next, he was scrambling to make sure everything was in order.

Mike had big shoes to fill, but he did so without batting an eye! So when Mike was picked for Ambush Makeover, Rebecca and the kids were thrilled – there was no one more deserving than him.

The Today Show dream team, Louis Licari and Jill Martin, whisked Mike backstage and worked their magic. In a few hours, Mike’s hair was trimmed, beard was cut and clothes were exchanged for a fresh, modern look!

His wife and children were brought onto the set and blindfolded to keep the big reveal a surprise until the very end! When the blindfolds were taken off, they were shocked by how amazing he looked…

Rebecca couldn’t believe that her husband was so handsome – and she explained that he looked exactly like he did when they met in college! It has been years since Mike looked this good and she couldn’t wait to give him a big smooch.

However, Mike wasn’t the only father who got a special man makeover! Ron Madden, 63, is a cancer survivor himself and was also plucked out of the crowd!

Together, Louis and Jill worked to give Ron an amazing transformation and the final result left his daughter Kate in tears. The video of their makeovers and families’ responses is absolutely heartwarming!

Kate couldn’t wait to get her father back home to show her mother! She was going to be so excited…
