Family Gave A Present To Depressed Marine. When He Saw The Puppy He Just Lost It

Three years ago, Peter Coukoulis came home to Tallahassee, FL, after serving with the U.S. Marine Corps. Unfortunately, things took an unpleasant turn and Coukoulis began struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The 26-year-old veteran found it difficult to return to normal life and adapt to his new surroundings due to his condition. Side effects of PTSD can include anxiety, depression, flashbacks, insomnia and/or isolation.
Desperate to help his son, Peter’s mom, Dena, came up with a brilliant way to cheer him up. She surprised him with a tiny puppy and after being his reaction, she knew, his life will change for the better.
Dena told Caters News Agency: “The puppy has already changed Peter’s life; it has made him happy after a very difficult three years.”
