Fishermen Get Pretty Emotional Over Finding Swimming Kittens In A Lake

In a fishing story to end all fishing stories, two Alabama fishermen could not believe their eyes when they saw what was swimming toward their boat: two adorable kittens.

They say cats hate water, but these babies give Michael Phelps a run for his money as they swim across the Warrior River to reach the fishermen’s boat, mewing along as if to say, “Please save us, kind sirs!” Luckily, the men obliged, and the sweetness with which they handle these kitties will warm your heart into next week.

“Never in my life have I seen anything like this,” says one of the men. The fishermen don’t know where the kittens came from, but they believe “some jackass” abandoned them somewhere near the river.

Once ashore, the men gave the kittens to a family with two little girls who were pleased as punch to adopt them.

I don’t know if these guys caught any fish that day, but they sure did bring home the catch of a lifetime.
