“Alright ladies and gentlemen, we’re about to have a wedding here on Southwest airlines” are hardly the words you expect to hear from a flight attendant, especially if you’re in mid-air.

On a flight traveling from Baltimore, Maryland, to San Diego, California, these exact words were spoken. As it turned out, aboard the flight were Dennis and Bonnie, a couple who had been married for 40 years and were off to their second honeymoon in Hawaii.

The idea was neither Bonnie’s nor Dennis’, but rather the attendants’, who thought it would be nice to throw them a ceremony whilst in flight. It went, as you’ll soon see, without a hitch.

“We have our bride back here. She’s going to walk down the aisle to her husband of 40 years.” Admittedly, there was little space in the airplane, but as you’ll see in the video, the crew really outdid themselves.

They found Bonnie something more wedding-appropriate to wear and even made her a customized veil made of toilet paper.

Dennis stood at the front, waiting for his wife to come up and join him.

A coffee cup became a glorified bridal bouquet holder, and soon enough, Bonnie could be seen walking down the aisle.

She was met with applause and cheers as most passengers pulled out their phones to record the joyous moment.

Speaking of, check out the heartwarming video and don’t forget to SHARE this article with your family and friends, so that they can also partake in Dennis and Bonnie’s beautiful journey.
