Four Year Old Shares Dad’s Secret At School And His Teacher Immediately Rushed To Intervene

Nancy Bleuer is a caring 54-year-old preschool teacher, who takes great care of her students and pays particularly close attention to their wellbeing. It wasn’t hard for her to notice, that one of the kids, seemed unusually low. When she confronted him, his story shook her to the core.

Camden, 4, opened up to his teacher that his dad, 34-year-old Darreld Petersen, was very ill and he was afraid of seeing his dad for the last time. Nancy contacted the family to find out more and offer some help.

After realizing how serious the situation is, Nancy quickly remembered that there is something important on her bucket list,  and without much hesitation, she offered Darreld one of her own kidneys.

Miraculously, she turned out to be a perfect match, meaning it was relatively straightforward for her to make good on her offer. All she had to do was fill in the necessary paperwork.

Bothe Bleuer and Petersen were thrilled and overjoyed.

“I was really excited about it,” Bleuer said. “I was ecstatic. I don’t know what I would’ve done for closure if I wasn’t [a match].”

“It’s just amazing,” Petersen said. “There are people waiting every day for a kidney, for an organ in general. I wish there were more people like her. She’s giving me a second chance at life.”
