High School Students Leave A Waiter A Big Tip, Then Tell Him It Was Just A Prank

The seniors over in Arizona’s Combs High School are pretty well-known in their area for mischievous pranks that get them in a lot of trouble. The school’s senior class back in 2014 was even banned from going to their own graduation after taking part in a massive food-fight gag…

However, the following senior class made the decision to repay their community for the trouble caused in the previous years. Rather than plan an awful, hurtful prank, the students chose to “prank it forward” instead.

A few seniors had heard of a community member who works at the local Olive Garden. He was in need of some serious help to pay for medical bills he accumulated.

The teenagers made a plan to grab dinner at the Italian restaurant while they had someone filming the whole thing in secret. When it came time to pay the bill, their server was left in complete awe. They left a tip of $510! He attempted to return it to them, which is when they revealed that it’s their version of a class prank to help the man out.

“To be able to do that was really awesome, and really exciting to be able to do it together,” one student, Hailey Wilt, said. “It was amazing to see the look on his face when he was so filled with joy, and he wanted to cry, but didn’t want to cry because he’s a guy.”

People sitting inside the restaurant at the time realized what had happened, and burst into applause for the students. They were happy to see them make the best out of a harmful tradition, and hoped that this new custom of kindness will replace it.

“More people get a benefit out of this than we would out of pranking our school,” a fellow senior, Karla Alfar, stated.
