Homeless Man Asked Café Owner For Money, She Gave Him A Job Instead

Cesia Abigail Baires is the owner of Abi’s Café on E. Lake Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Back in March 2016, she did something incredible and gained international respect and attention. A homeless man, Marcus, walked in her store and asked for money.

“Why don’t you have a job?” Cesia replied. “You know nothing is given to me for free, right?”

After explaining to her, the as much as he would love to, his history makes it almost impossible for anyone to hire him.

At this point, Cesia, made her mind up, to do the most humane thing, and help Marcus for good. She hired him, and gave him a second chance to change his life.

Months later, he is still there.
