Little Girl Relies On Her Hero Dog To Detect A Diabetic Scare Even When Miles Away

Little girl called Sadie has type 1 diabetes. Given the nature of the illness and her age, Sadie’s parents (like many others) found themselves in a difficult position, struggling to constantly monitor their child and make sure her health and life are not endangered. Lucky for them, they found the perfect helper – a dog called Hero. Hero and Sadie get along very well and he always amazes the family, but the most incredible and life saving situation they had was last year. In December 2015, Hero detected a diabetic scare while Sadie was at school – 5 miles away from him.
