Marine Brother Sneaks up Behind His Sister After Not Seeing Each Other For 6 Years

Marine Brandon Griffith and his family have sacrificed so much over that last six years. Brandon, has been serving our country in the Marines. So many birthdays, holidays, celebrations and seeing each family member grow older have been missed.
Brandon left to serve in the Marines when Alea was just in third-grade. Now, she’s a freshman in high school and a player on her high school basketball team.
Brandon and the basketball coach thought it would be a great surprise to go and see his little sister at her basketball practice.
The news crews arrived, telling the team that they were doing a story on their coach’s long career.
Brandon snuck up behind the group as they posed for a team photo. The coach saw him crossing the gym, and as Brandon got right behind Alea, he announced to the entire team: “We have a special guest today. It’s Veterans Day.”
Brandon took this cue to tap Alea on the shoulder, and as she turned around, she burst into happy tears, as did the rest of the team.
“I was really surprised because I haven’t seen him in six years,” Alea said with tears in her eyes. “I was thinking about him all day today, it’s just hard to be away.”
Now the two and the rest of the family can spend some quality and relaxed time together as Brandon is taking time off for a while.
