Marine’s Letter Home

This farm kid sent a letter to the parents after joining the US Marine Corps. This letter gives a farm kid’s perspective of the training regime experienced by future Marines. Reminds me of that story in “Time Enough For Love” about the lazy guy who worked hard to have a decorated career in the military because joining up and every subsequent advancement meant he had to do less work.
