Mom Accidentally Packs Vodka In Her Kid’s Lunchbox

Planning meals ahead as a working adult sorting a weekly menu for myself isn’t the most fun thing in the world. Grocery shopping has to be strategic, and food sometimes has to be prepared in advance. Given the alternative to simply buy food, many of us can’t be bothered.

Now, imagine planning this for another human being – who may or may not be a fussy eater (as many kids are). It all sounds like it’s not exactly a walk in the park. Parents not only have to maintain nutritional balance in kids’ packed lunches, they also try to keep them interesting in order to encourage their mini-mes to actually eat their creations.

One Australian mom put a pretty creative spin on her child’s packed lunch – albeit accidentally. Instead of a fruit drink, she included something that packed a far bigger punch.

Shared on Facebook, this picture and the accompanying note tells the whole story. It took a call from the school for this mom to realise she had mistakenly offered her child a bit of liquid courage.

She explained how the above sorbet-inspired drink, which contained vodka, ended up in her child’s packed lunch.

“EPIC lunchbox fail when you tell your five-year-old Preppie to put a frozen juice pouch in her lunchbox and you forget the other pouches in your freezer!

“Made for a veeeery interesting phone call from the teacher!”

Thankfully, the school understood it was all an honest mistake and were able to laugh over the mix-up with the slightly embarrassed mom.

Many flocked to the comments to share similar stories of hilarious mishaps, showing that everyone slips up sometimes.
