Mom Sells Family Car To Cover Triplets’ Medical Bills, Then A Kind Stranger Surprises Them With An SUV

Triplets Ellie, Gigi, and Carmina Cosenos are 8 years old and already fighting an uphill battle. Each sister has debilitating brain tumors, which require surgeries and treatment at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. To keep up with the costs of medical bills, Kim and Joe, Coseno had to sell their belongings, including their second car.
Their father requires the car for work, which he does for 12 to 14 hours a day. That means Mom and the triplets don’t have a way to make the long commute to the necessary and frequent doctor visits. The family appeared on CBS 4, begging for any help out there, desperate to save their daughters’ lives.
Joe and Susan Miranda happened to be watching the news that night.
“My wife and I were both looking at the piece,” Joe Miranda says. “And we both look at each other and we both nodded like, ‘Yes, we need to do something here.’ There was no thinking about it. It was a done deal and so I immediately called and left a message.”
The couple donated an SUV to the family, they are also paying for a family vacation to Legoland, and even plans on providing the girls with an unforgettable Christmas.
“I was in shock really. I couldn’t believe it,” Kim says. “Truly blessed, we can get to the doctors now. I can’t tell them how much this truly changes what we’re able to do for the girls. Which is what it’s about.”
