Mom Tells Story Of Placing Baby Up For Adoption, Doesn’t Know She’s Listening The Whole Time

Judie was a single mother at 19. She became pregnant with a second daughter just as the relationship with the father of her children fell apart.

She didn’t know how she was going to raise two children on her own. Needless to say, being a single mother 37 years ago was even more difficult with all of the stigma attached to it. She just wanted what was best.

Judie arranged for an adoption when she was around seven months pregnant. She didn’t get to see her baby girl when she was born, and didn’t get to hold her for even a second. Just like that, she was gone.

Since that very moment, Judie has been looking for her birth daughter. With her oldest getting married and desperate to meet her full sister, Judie reached out to Rachael Ray to see if she could track down the little girl she never got to see.

As Judie recounted her tear-jerking story, she didn’t realize that her daughter, Claudia, was listening to her the entire time. Rachael brought Judie on stage and told her that Claudia was right behind her in the audience.

The mother and daughter shared a close embrace. Claudia thanked Judie for making a sacrifice so that she could have the best life possible. She told her mother that she holds no resentments or grudges.

Then Claudia surprised Judie — she was not just a birthmother, but a grandmother now.
