Mom’s Called To The Court During Game, But She Loses It When She Sees Military Son In The Stands

When the Noll family found themselves standing on the wooden court at a Boston Celtics game, they weren’t sure what to expect. But when they saw a certain man in uniform walk over to them from the stands, nothing else mattered.
It was the night of the Celtics’ “10th annual Seats For Soldiers Program.” In other words, it was the night of a very special homecoming surprise.
The Boston Celtics and Staff Sergeant Matthew Noll of the Air Force National Guard arranged for his family to get called to the court for a night they would never forget.
The staff sergeant’s mom, dad, sister, brother, and cousin gathered onto the sprawling wooden floor, waiting for something to happen. Little did they know their Matthew was about to pay them a visit.
Suddenly, with a proud stride, Matthew walked out from the stands and onto the court. Instantly, the eyes of each family member lit up, some filling with tears.
In that moment, it was as if time had stopped. All they wanted to do was smother him in their welcoming hugs and kisses, something both Matthew and his family must have missed for the previous seven months while he was away.
The hugs and tears kept flowing in unstoppable waves as “God Bless the USA” played in the stadium.
The staff sergeant and his family received a standing ovation from the entire crowd, even the players, who felt just how special the moment was.
