Orca Stuck And Crying Out For Help, Group Of Bystanders Do Something Amazing

Killer whales, which are actually dolphins, have a striking black-and-white coloring that’s made them famous. While they can be vicious predators, they’re also beautiful and intelligent creatures. Recently one killer whale, or ‘orca,’ got trapped on some rocks when the tide went out. A team of humans came to her rescue.
The beautiful mammal first caught the attention of a boater in British Columbia who noticed her laying and struggling on jagged rocks. He called animal rescue group Guardians from Hartley Bay, who came out to do what they could.
rescue team found that the only thing they could really do is help her wait for the tide to come back in. With any luck, they could keep her alive until the water was deep enough for her to swim away.
They began covering the whale with tarps and sheets, then wetting her down. The biggest threat at the moment was that she would dry out. Volunteers worked for hours pouring bucket after bucket of water over the whale. If they hadn’t done this, she would have surely died. The volunteers felt she knew they were trying to help her.
Eight hours later, the tide came in, and the whale got free. She quickly swam away – far away from the rocks that trapped her. The rescue team cheered for their successful efforts. They shared their inspiring video so others could cheer as well.
