Rescue Mama Cow Wouldn’t Stop Crying In Her Pen. What Her Rescuers Found Is Devastating

Ruby and her calf Lucas who was born in a kill pen were scheduled to be slaughter, but luckily for them a kind hearted woman (aka their guarding angel) bought them off and took them to Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Maryland. The couple was inseparable. Ruby made sure Lucas is ok and never left his side. One day she was very unsettled and mooed all day long. Their caretakers  assumed that Lucas might have escaped from the pen (it had already happened few times before), but were shocked to discovered that he has very high temperature. After taking him to the vet he was diagnosed with pneumonia and hadn’t his mom urged everyone fore help, it was unlikely for him to make it. He is on the road to recovery and his loving mom is right by his side. Heartwarming!!
