Jane Holmes is a private investigator who operates Patricia Lane Investigations in Georgia. In December 2016, Jane was driving with a friend on Canton Highway when she happened to pass a distraught little girl standing on the side of the road.“She was running and walking, running and walking,” Jane said. “She was crying.”

Because of her profession, Jane has a GPS video camera mounted on her car, which recorded footage of the lone child. She made a U-turn and pulled up to 6-year-old Julianna.

“I lost my family because the bus took me to my house and nobody was there,” Julianna cried.

Since Julianna had no identification on her at the time, Jane safely drove her to the local sheriff’s department. “I know the evil out there and this child could have been abducted.”

Authorities alerted Julianna’s mother, who called Julianna’s dad to tell him how their daughter was found. He says he assumed the worst. He also said he had arranged for the bus driver to take Julianna to her daycare center on Canton Highway, not home.
