She’s The Class Bully, But How Mom Decides To Punish Her Has Everyone Talking

When 10-year-old Kaylee Lindstrom bullied another girl at school, her step-mother felt that she should be punished. However, instead of grounding her – she decided that Kaylee should walk a mile in the other girl’s shoes. Her choice of punishment has stirred quite the national debate.
Blonde-haired Kaylee is a “self-proclaimed 4th grade fashionista.” So, when she decided that she didn’t like another girl’s clothing, she meanly teased her. After Kaylee’s step-mother was informed about the bullying incident, she knew that she had to teach the adolescent a lesson. She took Kaylee to a thrift-store and told her to pick out the “ugliest” outfits she could find. The fashion queen was happy to do so…yet, little did she know that she herself would be wearing the clothing to school.
For two days, Kaylee wore the “ugly” outfits to school, which led to other kids bullying HER. To the 4th grader, she couldn’t understand how the kids didn’t see beyond her clothing… It was a lesson learned! In the end, Kaylee apologized to her bully-victim and the two actually became friends. While it is great that Kaylee was remorseful for her actions, many people wonder if “shaming” a child is really the best course of action. You be the judge!
