The father-son singing duo from Norwich UK warmed the judge’s hearts with their original song The Lucky Ones, which 43-year-old dad Tim and son Jack, 12, performed on acoustic guitars.

After earning a standing ovation and rapturous applause from the audience, Simon remarked, ‘Tim, Jack, this says it all,’ before smashing his golden buzzer showering them in confetti.

As Simon went up to the pair onstage, he said: ‘That was fantastic, I love that song. It reminded me of being with my boy. ‘I’ve got to tell you that was so fantastic, so pure. Well done you two.’
