Back in2011, Lacey Dunkin began her journey to becoming a foster parent. She was single and even though she could not foresee a serious relationship and potential marriage, she knew she is ready to be a mother. Shortly after, she was approved and offered to foster 4 sisters – Sophia, twins Natalie and Melanie, and Kaylee. Over the next few years, their biological mother had two more girls – Lea and Cecily. Lacey took them in without any hesitation. She could not imagine the girls ever being separated from each other. After long custody battle with the biological mother, the judge finally allowed Lacey to adopt all six girls. Being a single mom of six is hard, but she is determined to do her best, and the girls love her for it. The video shows their story and an ordinary day in their loving, happy home.
