Someone Like TWO! Toddler’s Cute Rendition Of Adele Hit

Multi-platinum selling singer Adele may have competition for her crown as the most popular female artist of the moment. The challenge comes from two-year-old Makena, whose adorable performance of Adele’s hit Someone Like You has caused a sensation on YouTube. Dressed in a pink top with a string of pink plastic beads around neck, the cute toddler from Canada puts her heart and soul into a beautiful rendition of the singer’s first number one single in the UK.

The little girl shows an impressive grasp of the lyrics to the hit about the end of 23-year-old Adele’s relationship with an unnamed ex-boyfriend. It is, however, doubtful that at this stage she fully understands the meaning of the heartbreaking song, whose chorus runs: ‘Never mind I’ll find/ Someone like you / I wish nothing but the best for you, too / Don’t forget me, I begged, I remember you said / Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead.’

In Makena’s hands, the soulful song takes on a different aspect, and the tragic words become charmingly funny sung in the toddler’s childish lisp. The two-year-old’s mother can be heard providing a little help when her daughter falters, but Makena still shows skill beyond her years as she belts out the track.

With her talent for mumbling the words when she gets a little stuck, the blonde-haired toddler could compete with some of the biggest stars in the business.
