Steve Harvey Breaks Down After Seeing His Mama’s House

HarveyFrank Jackson, mayor of the Cleveland, Ohio bestowed a section of the city’s 112th Street and renamed it “Steve Harvey Way,” honoring the comedian on his 58th birthday. Harvey grew up along the portion of the street and attended Glenville High School. His friends and the people from Cleveland came up with some surprises and left the host of “The Steve Harvey Show” speechless. The host was clearly moved by the loving gestures as the cameras caught all of his emotions. In a heartwarming moment, Harvey was told that not only the mayor decreed January 17 to be called “Steve Harvey Day,” but also the renaming of the street he grew up in.
His sister also spoke on TV. Standing outside of the home they used to live as children, Mona told Harvey that their parents are really proud of him and that they love him.
And this is where the father of seven children started to cry and was clearly unable to restrain his feelings. Several cheerleaders from a school in Cleveland came into the picture and danced and chanted Harvey’s name.
Tears of joy continued as all of Harvey’s seven children appeared on the show and started to talk about their memorable moments with their loving dad.
