The loss of a faithful and brave K9 officer, Krijger who died on 11 January 2016 after a shootout while responding to a domestic violence call, and the sad realisation that he would have survived if he had a ballistic vest on shook everyone from the Norfolk, Virginia police department. Fortunately, their grieve was met with good new for the rest of the K9 members – A very kind and generous sponsor is willing to donate enough money to provide the vest expensive lifesaving vest, for everyone. The good samaritan in question is Anderson Cooper and his good deed has not been left unnoticed nor is unappreciated.
