Three mothers spread out on stage, ironing and sorting out clothes. Their song tells of their daily struggles and is sure to resonate with moms everywhere, while also getting everyone to laugh!

At a service at Church On The Move, three women performed a song they called “Mommy Rhapsody:. A parody of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, this version tells the tale of mothers and what they do for their families. From interactions with younger children with gum stuck in their hair, to older children who want to party at their friend’s house, these moms show the range of everyday adventures of their lives. There’s even mention of saving a hot plate for the father coming home late from work.

While this song brilliantly captures the essence of how tough it can be to be a mother through its well-planned lyrics, it doesn’t intend to say that motherhood is only made up of hardships. At the end, the mothers sing about it being worth it for them, although the very last line is that they have to wash the kids’ clothes. Being a mother may not be the smoothest or easiest of experiences but they wouldn’t change a thing. It makes us appreciate even more the love a mother has for her family, and the love they have for her.
