Sarwan Singh of Punjab, India is the 28 years old brave man who risked his life to safe a drowning dog.

Despite the fact he cannot swim himself, Singh knew he had to do something.

Devastated over the fact that other men were just pointing at the dog without initiating to help, he quickly took his turban off and came up with a very creative way to save the poor soul.

Singh was criticised for removing his turban, hence disrespecting his religion.

However, he said that the good deed was more important.
