This Woman Without Legs Just Became An Equestrian Champion And An Inspiration For Many

Angelika Trabert was born with a disability – she was born without legs and has only three fingers on her right hand. However, her moto is ” It’s ability, NOT disablility that COUNTS !!” and she has proved it to be true in many aspects of her life.
Angelika Trabert has won 24 medals in more than 25 years, six of them at five different Paralympic Games and just became an equestrian champion. She discovered her passion for riding when she was only 5 years old. ” I did fall off the horse quite a lot but I never gave up,” Trabert said.
Angelika works as an anaesthetist in Frankfurt and has travelled to Guinea with an NGO to work as a doctor and provide urgent medical care. Her goal is to build a vocational school for young disabled people there.
Angelika is a real inspiration!
