A violinist treated travelers stranded at JFK Airport with a solo performance.

The musical interlude was likely a welcome distraction after a massive winter storm crippled airports up and down the eastern seaboard.

Flights at JFK Airport had been suspended from the afternoon of January 4 to the morning of January 5, prompting long waits.

But Instagram user Julie Norman found a bright spot when a woman opened her violin case and began to play, standing next to a customer service counter.

“Sometimes while your flight is delayed hundreds of hours you have a prodigy star violinist on your flight to entertain you,” Norman wrote on her post with the video.

The unnamed violinist seemed to be instantly unaware anyone was watching or conducting business around her.

The violinist performed at the boarding gate for a Delta flight to Brussels.

In spite of the almost 6-hour delay, hopefully, the beautiful performance helped shortened the wait.
