Wife Leaves Husband Of 22 Years After Discovering Who He Voted For

Politics can make for strange bedfellows, and can also break up friendships, and even marriages.

Gayle McCormick, a resident of California, says she has separated from her husband of 22 years because he voted for Republican Donald Trump.

The California prison guard, a “Democrat leaning toward socialist,” says she was shocked when her husband, Bill, commented at a social event with friends last year that he was going to vote for Trump. McCormick said that decision was a “deal breaker” for her.

‘It totally undid me that he could vote for Trump,’ said McCormick, 73, a Bernie Sanders fan who had never left her conservative Republican husband before, but who said she felt “betrayed” by her husband’s support for Trump.
