Woman Finds Gigantic Egg Under Hen And Cracks It Open To See What’s Inside

Maria Glória de Souza, 64-year-old woman from Brazil, has been keeping chickens as pets for over 20 years but she’d seen nothing like what was under one of her hens recently. She quickly realised the egg is triple the size of a normal egg. Curiosity kicked in and Maria felt compelled to find out more about the mysterious egg.

Instead of leaving the massive egg as-is, she decided to crack it open and see what was inside. She took it inside her home and opened it up above a bowl in order to catch the contents. Yet again, she was in for a surprise. Inside the egg…was another egg! While this is a rare incident, there have been several documented cases of this happening. It is a case of a hen laying an egg inside another egg, which happens during its formation. Very strange indeed.
