A Pregnant Mom Went To Use The Bathroom At A Car Dealership, Then She Texts Her Husband A Worrying Message
This woman had to deliver her baby in a bathroom at the car dealership. Amanda Sherman, a 24-year-old pregnant mother, went with her husband and son to a Nissan Dealership in South Hills, Pennsylvania for a simple oil change.
Amanda had to go to the bathroom, so she ran inside the dealership as her son, AJ, and husband, Adam, sat waiting in the car. Suddenly, she got a feeling that she couldn’t explain. As a pregnant woman, she had to face a stunning reality at the wrong place and wrong time.
“I went to the restroom, and after I was done, I realized that I was going to have the baby,” she recalled.
She decided the quickest way to tell her husband is by texting him to let him know her situation, and that she had started bleeding. She told him to call the ambulance, but they wouldn’t arrive in time. Only three minutes later, she had the baby on her own.
Adam was understandably shocked beyond belief. He didn’t know what to do or say. He said of the events, “Someone came running out and said, ‘Somebody’s wife just delivered a baby in the bathroom.’ I can’t even explain what I was thinking.”
He made young AJ wait with an employee, then ran as quickly as he could to the restroom. He found his beloved wife sitting there, holding their precious new daughter. The tough baby came into the world without a single bit of fuss. Talk about an quick delivery!
After speaking with the ambulance, Adam thought quickly on his feet and used his own shoelace to tie the umbilical cord!
Heather Lynn Sherman, as the baby was named, had been born a mere six days before planned, and weighed seven pounds and twelve ounces.
The dealership left a touching note on their site saying the are sending the adorable family a gift.
“We really needed that oil change,” Adam stated. “I actually went back the very next day… They were like, ‘You’re back already?’ I said, ‘Yeah — no babies today, though.”
