Couple’s Mishap At Ob/Gyn Has Millions Laughing With Them

Rachel and Chris McQueen of Kentucky were at one of Rachel’s prenatal visits with her obstetrician hoping to get a peek at the new baby on the ultrasound. This family of five, soon to be six, couldn’t wait to see the ultrasound images of their baby on the screen. But after that joyful moment, things started getting really hot, as in, burning hot, for Rachel.

The couple hysterically retold Rachel’s momentarily painful experience in the examination room in a video posted on Facebook that has gone viral. It’s netted more than five million views and women everywhere can’t believe what Rachel went through.

She even starts the video by saying:

“The worst thing in OB history just happened to me.”

In the video, Rachel starts crying she is laughing so hard. This good-natured couple didn’t blame anyone. Instead, their story has people cracking up around the world. The couple also has a YouTube channel called Motherhood Madness where they regularly share videos about Christian marriages, parenting and other issues.

Chris told WYMT-TV that they’re astounded at how far their story has spread and the responses from others. People are sympathizing and even sharing their own funny medical mishap tales.

“We are in Australia, UK, Philippines. We’ve gone global.”

Despite it being a private incident, the couple has shared their saga. This is what happened…

After the ultrasound was done, it was time for Rachel’s pelvic exam. Chris stayed in the room for the checkup. They were on “cloud nine” after seeing the newest addition to their family healthy and growing.

But their excitement soon turned to pain for poor Rachel after their obstetrician’s blunder had her hollering on the examination table, feet still in stirrups. As it turns out, the doctor had accidentally grabbed a bottle of hand sanitizer instead of the medical lubricating gel and applied the wrong one. Rachel starts yelling and said:

“Oh. OH. Whatever you put in there, it’s HOT. You got to GO.”

Even funnier is Chris’ rendition on video of Rachel’s reaction to the accidental swap of sanitizer for gel. She laughs in the video and says, “He grabbed the wrong bottle,” while Chris can’t contain his guffaws, saying “He put hand sanitizer up there.”

Thankfully, Rachel was just fine physically after the burning subsided and the baby’s health was never at risk. But their medical mishap has left millions of people in stitches who have thanked the couple for sharing their funny story.
