Grieving Widow Can’t Afford New Car After Marine Dies, So Strangers Give Her One 3 Years Later

Losing her Marine husband was quite difficult for Erin Vasselian, especially because she found out two days before Christmas, three years ago.
Since then, she has tried to honor him and his memory. She and her family set up a memorial fund to benefit military families in need, hoping that donations could make a difference in their lives.
But Erin herself was in need.
The widow had been using her husband’s old car until it broke down, and she had to leave it in the driveway. She started relying on family members for help getting around.
That’s when a group called Massachusetts Fallen Heroes heard about her and her story and decided they needed to help. They partnered with MetLife Insurance to repair a stolen minivan, then surprised her with it.
In the clip below, you can see the first time Erin turns on the engine of the car, which is certainly quite the emotional moment for her and her family. She goes out of her way to help those in need, so it was only a matter of time before her efforts were recognized.
What an incredible gift for the widow of a fallen hero. It will definitely make a big difference in her daily life!
Please SHARE if you know that our soldiers aren’t the only heroes — the families that support them are, too!
